Martin Jacques co-edited and co-authored “The Forward March of Labour Halted?, The Politics of Thatcherism” and “New Times.” Jacques co-founded the U.K. think tank Demos, has been a columnist for The Times of London, and was an editor of Marxism Today and a deputy editor of The Independent. He currently writes a regular column for The Guardian. He is a visiting senior fellow at the London School of Economics – Ideas (a Centre for the Study of International Affairs, Diplomacy and Grand Strategy) and a visiting research fellow at the London School of Economics - Asia Research Centre. He has recently been a visiting professor at Renmin University (Beijing, China), at The International Centre for Chinese Studies - Aichi University (Nagoya, Japan), and at Ritsumeikan University (Kyoto, Japan) and a senior visiting research fellow at The Asia Research Institute (National University of Singapore).
